What Are the Viral 'Lacy Kim' Videos Everyone Is Searching for?
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
The musical overlap extends beyond aesthetics. In late 2022, Billboard published an in-depth analysis detailing how Steve Lacy, Kim Petras, and Sam Smith shattered long-standing industry programming hurdles. Petras secured historic Billboard Hot 100 dominance with "Unholy," while Lacy simultaneously held the top tiers of the chart with his global smash "Bad Habit."
Music historians and pop commentators routinely grouped Lacy and Petras together in retrospective video essays detailing that era. Clips reviewing that chart shift continue to draw thousands of monthly viewers on YouTube. When algorithms saw search queries fusing the names "Lacy" and "Kim," they cross-referenced these archival industry retrospectives alongside Kardashian's February 2026 fashion clips, creating a confusing hybrid of search recommendations.
