Lucy Dacus Tour & Festival Spotlight: from Shaky Knees to Global Stages
By Sarah Jenkins
Over the past four touring cycles, Dacus's name has become a staple of premier music festival rosters. Her booking history illustrates how premier indie acts systematically expand their audience footprint without relying entirely on traditional terrestrial radio play.
| Festival Event | Featured Stage Lineup Peers | Live Production Scale |
|---|---|---|
| Hinterland Music Festival | Phoebe Bridgers, Kurt Vile, Muna | Sunset main-stage slot, 18,000+ single-stage outdoor amphitheater setup |
| Shaky Knees Music Festival | The Nude Party, Slothrust, Caamp | Co-headlining secondary stage, multi-stage urban park environment |
| All Points East (London) | Kurt Vile, Perfume Genius, Low | Victoria Park tent headliner, international crossover showcase |
| Austin City Limits (ACL) | Diverse genre peers, mid-day park bills | Zilker Park festival field, early career national breakout run |
At Iowa’s Hinterland Music Festival, Dacus played right before headliner Phoebe Bridgers, drawing a dedicated crowd that filled the natural grass bowl hours before sunset. Across the Atlantic at London's Victoria Park for All Points East, she drew equivalent devotion, holding a packed marquee tent against competing main-stage acts like King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
