Color Block Jam Update: Did the Latest Patch Nerf Level 1118 Difficulty?
The most immediate difference is the increase in the turn counter from 28 to 32 moves. Four turns may sound minor in an arcade setting, but in a tile-sorting game, four additional moves represent 12 potential block displacements. That extra buffer allows players to sacrifice two intermediate moves to clear temporary blocker tiles out of the way without immediately dooming their late-game run.
Equally critical is the reduction in corner anchors. Prior to version 2.14, the board featured four chained blocks guarding the perimeter columns. These anchors prevented access to the secondary tile pools until late in the stage. By cutting the number of chained blocks down to two, the revised board opens up horizontal clearing lines three to four turns earlier, easing pressure on the central sorting dock.
