Christian Andreacchio Mystery Explained: Everything to Know About Whitley Goodman
Christian Andreacchio worked as a tugboat deckhand on the Mississippi River. He earned good wages and was in the process of buying a home. On February 26, 2014, he unexpectedly left his boat mid-hitch and returned to Meridian, Mississippi. Friends and family reported that Christian was troubled by issues regarding his relationship and financial discrepancies involving his bank account.
Dylan Swearingen picked Christian up from the dock and drove him back to his Meridian apartment. Christian met Goodman at the residence. Around 4:45 p.m., Swearingen called 911 to report that Christian had shot himself in the upstairs bathroom.
Officers from the Meridian Police Department arrived on the scene and discovered Christian slumped over the bathtub with a fatal gunshot wound to the right temple. His pistol, a .45-caliber Kimber 1911, sat between his legs. Responding officers concluded within 45 minutes that Christian took his own life. The apartment was not processed as an active homicide crime scene. Clothes were not bagged, blood spatter was not documented by a certified bloodstain analyst, and initial interviews with Swearingen and Goodman were brief.
