Can You Solo Farm Cyborg Gear in Gpo? Fact-Checking Common Community Myths
Discord channels and YouTube tutorials have spawned several persistent theories regarding drop manipulations. Most of these urban legends waste valuable time and inventory space.
The most widespread rumor claims that allowing your character to die right as the factory core shatters doubles your drop roll. Testing confirms this is completely false. Dying during the destruction frame risks wiping your damage contribution altogether, causing the server to log you as absent and yielding no loot drops.
Another myth suggests that holding existing Cyborg Gears in your active hotbar blocks the Cyborg Core from dropping. Inventory algorithms process each item roll independently through server-side tables. Stashing gears inside your bank or keeping them in your backpack has zero mathematical impact on whether a core drops.
A third misconception revolves around the Kuma boss fight. Some players assume fighting Bartholomew Kuma drops the necessary factory components directly. While Kuma remains tied thematically to cybernetic lore in the One Piece universe, his drop tables are separate from the Second Sea factory materials. Grinding Kuma for factory items produces nothing but frustration.
