Why Keanu Reeves' Most Unhinged Thriller 'Knock Knock' Is Taking over Streaming Charts Again
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: Is the movie Knock Knock connected to the John Wick universe?
A1: No, the film is not narratively connected to John Wick or its spinoffs. However, it marked the first on-screen collaboration between Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas, who later reunited for the assassin universe expansion project Ballerina.
Q2: Is Knock Knock based on a true story?
A2: No. Knock Knock is a direct, modernized remake of the 1977 exploitation thriller Death Game, directed by Peter S. Traynor. Eli Roth co-wrote the 2015 screenplay alongside Nicolás López and Guillermo Amoedo, with original *Death Game* stars Sondra Locke and Colleen Camp attached as executive producers.
Q3: Where can you stream the movie in 2026?
A3: Knock Knock is accessible across multiple major subscription catalogs, including HBO Max streaming, while frequently cycling through free ad-supported platforms such as Tubi and Pluto TV.
Q4: Why did Genesis and Bel target Evan Webber specifically?
A4: The girls did not target Evan because of an existing vendetta; he was simply a target of opportunity. Genesis and Bel operate as serial sociopaths who bounce between neighborhoods, baiting married men into infidelity and systematically ruining their lives under the guise of an ideological lesson on male loyalty.
