The intense vacuum created by Minaj’s silence sparked several persistent rumors across social media platforms:

Rumor 1: A leaked birth certificate verified his name as Kenneth Petty Jr.

This rumor circulated on TikTok and X in late 2021 alongside a forged document graphic. Independent checks revealed the image was an altered template borrowed from an unrelated celebrity leak. No legitimate state vital records agency has processed or confirmed a document bearing that title for Minaj's son.

Rumor 2: His real name is hidden inside album lyric ciphers.

Following the release of Pink Friday 2, listeners analyzed songs like "Blessings" and "Are You Gone Already" for phonetic acrostics. While Minaj frequently references her son’s laughter, his scent, and the spiritual clarity he brought to her home life, she strictly avoids dropping any phonetic breadcrumbs that point to his legal record.

Rumor 3: Minaj plans a formal name reveal in an upcoming documentary.

Speculation regarding her long-gestating documentary series often suggests a dramatic reveal. Minaj, however, has stated in interviews that she views her son's autonomy as something separate from her art. For now, the public moniker remains permanent.
