When Firkus joined season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2015, the visual language of his character baffled the judging panel. His stay was brief and contentious. He was eliminated early, returned via a redemption challenge, and finished in sixth place. Most contestants would have seen their careers plateau there. Firkus saw the television appearance as nothing more than a marketing springboard.

His comedic chemistry with fellow contestant Katya Zamolodchikova sparked a cultural phenomenon. Their unscripted web series UNHhhh, launched by World of Wonder, abandoned traditional interview formats in favor of surreal, rapid-fire banter and absurdist video editing. The digital series generated hundreds of millions of views, demonstrating that Firkus possessed elite comedic timing that worked independent of stage lighting.

When World of Wonder assembled the cast for RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 3, Firkus entered as a polished media powerhouse. He navigated the grueling competition to emerge as the Drag Race All Stars season 3 winner in 2018. The victory validated his uncompromising vision and cemented his standing as one of the show's most commercially viable alumni.
