What Your Snapchat Planet Secretly Reveals About Your Friendships
By Elena Rostova
Q1: Can someone see my planet if they do not have Snapchat Plus?
A1: No. Only active Snapchat Plus subscribers can view the Friend Solar System badge on a friendship profile. Non-paying users see standard friend indicators and cannot check their numerical planet placement within your circle.
Q2: Why did my planet rank drop suddenly from Venus to Uranus?
A2: Planetary positions shift dynamically based on interaction spikes. If your friend started exchanging dozens of direct snaps and video messages with other contacts over a short window, those users will surpass your volume, pushing your planet further outward into the orbit.
Q3: Does having a long Snap streak automatically make someone Mercury?
A3: No. Snap streaks measure continuous daily check-ins, but the Best Friends algorithm calculates total volume and reciprocity. A user exchanging 50 active snaps a day with no streak will outrank someone who exchanges one streak-saving snap per day.
