What Is Carrot Top’s Gender? the Real Truth Behind the Comedian’s Identity
By Marcus Vance
While pop culture commentators debated his looks, Thompson built an extraordinarily stable financial machine. In 2005, he signed an exclusive residency agreement with the Luxor Las Vegas, occupying the Atrium Showroom.
Residencies in Las Vegas are brutal proving grounds. If a show fails to draw tourists consistently, casino operators cancel contracts within months. Thompson did the opposite. He filled houses six nights a week for decades, systematically renewing agreements with MGM Resorts International. By 2020, the Luxor extended his residency through 2025, and subsequent extensions secured his theater through the mid-2020s, making him one of the longest-tenured solo acts in Nevada gaming history.
His live performance differs sharply from the brief television cameos that sparked online gossip. Thompson’s show is an athletic, fast-paced assault involving thirty specially built trunks, custom lighting, rock-concert sound engineering, and sharp, contemporary improvisation. Industry peers who once dismissed prop humor, including respected comics like Dave Chappelle and Joe Rogan, have publicly acknowledged his relentless work ethic and joke-writing discipline.
