Watch the Moment Beckett Sennecke Couldn’t Believe He Went No. 3 to the Ducks
By Sarah Jenkins
Draft night reactions fade quickly unless backed by performance. Beckett Sennecke’s jaw-dropping response at the Sphere remains unforgettable because it reflected rare honesty in a corporate environment. Yet behind the viral loop was a front office willing to stake its reputation on pure scouting conviction.
Verbeek showed zero interest in winning draft-night applause from online mock drafters. He drafted a player whose developmental trajectory pointed straight up. Years removed from that electric stage in Las Vegas, Sennecke's stunned expression has transformed into a symbol of Anaheim's bold, unapologetic rebuild.
