Was Snl Live Last Night? Host, Cameos, Best Sketches, and Streaming Guide Explained
By Sarah Jenkins
Even in rebroadcasts, the core sketches drive modern consumer attention. Last night’s replay put the spotlight back on Colin Jost and Michael Che at the Weekend Update desk.
The segment featured their signature seasonal joke swap, alongside two correspondent desk pieces that leaned on character comedy over current headlines. The cold open tackled high-profile congressional committee hearings, utilizing cast impersonations that drew major applause from the live studio audience when originally recorded.
Outside of politics, the episode’s most successful piece was an absurd commercial parody focusing on pharmaceutical side effects. The sketch quickly picked up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and TikTok after the rerun concluded, confirming that strong comedic premises retain engagement outside the initial broadcast cycle.
