Visual Markers and Power Caps: Spotting a Human Hunter Vs. a Fiend
The leveling experience runs in two opposite directions. Fiends dominate the first twenty levels, reducing early-game difficulty to a trivial grind because their baseline strength and speed scale at a fixed 1.25x multiplier over standard human values. New players picking a Fiend can rip through low-level demon nests without mastering parry timings or buying high-grade combat swords.
Humans hit their stride much later. While mortal characters start with fragile durability, their stat progression caps are far more flexible once they reach mid-game rank thresholds. Humans can balance their investment across blade mastery, contract proficiency, and tactical evasives, whereas pure Fiends hit rigid progression walls on their innate abilities around level 60.
| Race Archetype | Early-Game Difficulty | Primary Recovery Method | Late-Game Stat Ceiling | World Hostility |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Human Hunter | High (punishing parry windows, frail base HP) | Consumable medical packs & rested checkpoints | Extremely high (uncapped contract combinations) | Neutral; full access to government facilities |
| Fiend | Low (inherent 1.25x offensive stat multipliers) | Active combat siphoning & ground blood pools | Moderate (strict species-bound ceilings) | Hostile; rogue hunter patrols attack on sight |
