The Complete Lisa Lisa Chronology: from Shipwreck Survivor to Legendary Mentor
Lisa Lisa’s story begins in total devastation. In February 1889, Jonathan Joestar made his final stand aboard an Atlantic cruise vessel overrun by Dio Brando’s thralls. Amid the burning wreckage, Jonathan’s pregnant widow, Erina Pendleton, discovered an orphaned infant whose mother had been slaughtered by zombies. Erina fled inside Jonathan's blast-resistant coffin, shielding both her unborn child and the orphan girl from the explosion.
Following their rescue near the Canary Islands, Erina made a calculated decision to separate the children's destinies. While Erina raised Jonathan's son, George Joestar II, in England, the infant Elizabeth was entrusted to Straizo, Jonathan’s Hamon-wielding ally.
Straizo brought the child to his remote temple in the Tibetan mountains. Recognizing her innate sensitivity to the breath-based energy, he trained her rigorously as his adoptive daughter. Tibetan monastery life was spartan and demanding. Under Straizo’s tutelage, Elizabeth internalized the rhythm of Hamon breathing until it became autonomic. By early adulthood, she commanded physical resilience and an ageless vitality that would eventually allow her to look three decades younger than her biological years.
