Behind every viral sound sits an unsuspecting human voice. When NBC News ran a profile titled "Meet the woman behind the viral 'Jet2 Holiday' meme," they spotlighted the professional voice actors who bring corporate scripts to life. The audio featured in the viral clips was voiced by British voiceover talent Zoe Lister, an English actress and voice artist known for her clear, northern delivery and earlier acting role in the soap opera Hollyoaks.

Voice artists rarely anticipate that standard commercial voiceover work will become the backing track to millions of smartphone videos. Lister's warm inflection provided the sincerity that makes the punchline land. If the voiceover had sounded cold or corporate, the meme would never have gained traction. Her neighborly, enthusiastic cadence makes the subsequent visual disaster funnier.

Then there is the soundtrack. Jet2 first licensed Jess Glynne's "Hold My Hand" in 2015. Over a decade later, the partnership remains one of the longest continuous commercial music licenses in UK aviation. As Business Insider noted when analyzing the jingle's staying power, the song achieved an unusual status: an earworm so persistent that it transcends irritation to become beloved camp nostalgia.
