By James H. Sterling
Q1: Who is handling lead vocals for Journey on this tour?
A1: Arnel Pineda continues as the primary frontman, handling classics like "Faithfully" and "Don't Stop Believin." To protect his vocal stamina on long arena runs, keyboardist Jason Derlatka and drummer Deen Castronovo take lead vocal duties on selected power ballads and rocker tracks.
Q2: How do weather advisories affect Journey's northern arena dates?
A2: Late-year tours through Minnesota, Alberta, and the Pacific Northwest regularly face early blizzards and mountain highway closures. While concerts proceed inside enclosed arenas, fans should monitor venue social media feeds for delayed door times and schedule extra travel time on icy roads.
Q3: What songs are featured in the standard encore setlist?
A3: The standard main set typically culminates with "Don't Stop Believin," followed by an encore that features a high-energy performance of "Any Way You Want It" alongside extended instrumental solos by Neal Schon.
