Is 'A Night in Barcelona' Real? the Truth Behind the Yuri on Ice Rumor
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: Is "A Night in Barcelona" an unreleased or deleted OVA?
No. MAPPA never planned, produced, or animated an OVA under this title. The only official standalone animation released after the series finale was the "Welcome to the Madness" exhibition skate featuring Yuri Plisetsky.
Q2: Did MAPPA cut explicit scenes between Victor and Yuri from Episode 10?
No. The scenes shown during the TV broadcast and the home Blu-ray editions are identical. Mitsurou Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto designed the relationship beats precisely as aired, focusing on the emotional subtext and the public ring exchange rather than explicit private interactions.
Q3: Where can I find official canon Yuri on Ice content today?
The verified canon consists exclusively of the 12 television episodes, the official Blu-ray bonus animation "Welcome to the Madness," and licensed drama CDs featuring the voice cast written by the original production staff.
