Is Anything Actually in Retrograde Right Now? the Science Vs. Astrology
By James H. Sterling
Apparent retrograde motion stands as one of the most elegant visual mechanics in the solar system. It reminds observers that our vantage point on Earth is not fixed or central, but in constant, high-speed movement across the cosmos.
When you check the sky in 2026, the question is not whether the universe is conspiring to derail your afternoon. Cosmic bodies do not alter their courses to disrupt human travel or interfere with electronic contracts. Appreciate the night sky for the grand geometric ballet that it is, double-check your flight itineraries with common sense, and let the planets complete their silent, forward orbits in peace.
