How to Turn off Hatch Alarm Clock: the Complete Guide for Restore, Rest, and App Controls
Designed primarily for nurseries and children’s bedrooms, the Hatch Rest and Rest+ rely on an exposed metal ring running along the perimeter of the top surface. This capacitive sensor reads tap inputs and continuous contact.
To dismiss an active sound or turn off the Hatch night light on a standard Rest, touch the ring with the palm of your hand or hold two fingers on it for three solid seconds. A quick, light tap merely cycles forward through your pre-saved sound and color presets. If you repeatedly tap the ring quickly in panic, you will cycle through lullabies, ocean surf, and neon colors instead of powering down. To kill both output streams at once, you must execute the tap and hold power off motion firmly until the speaker falls silent.
The Hatch Rest+ features identical top touch behavior, with an added bonus: physical base controls. Underneath the lip of the unit, the Rest+ includes independent volume, brightness, and a dedicated Hatch Rest+ power button. Pressing the physical power button overrides any active sequence and cuts power to the display immediately.
