How to Send the Ultimate Minions Happy Birthday Message to Loved Ones
By Elena Rostova
Q1: What are the words the Minions say when singing the Happy Birthday song?
A1: The song is sung in Pierre Coffin's invented Minionese dialect. While interpretations vary slightly by ear, the chant typically begins with rhythmic chanting like "Tulaliloo ti amo," devolves into high-pitched giggles, and ends with garbled approximations of traditional English lyrics layered with horn sounds and slapstick shrieks.
Q2: Can I legally download Minions birthday clips for private personal messages?
A2: Yes, downloading a short official clip to share privately with a friend or family member in a closed message thread falls under personal non-commercial fair use. However, re-uploading these clips to public monetization channels, using them in commercial advertisements, or reselling custom edits violates Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment copyrights.
Q3: What is the best way to get a Minion to say a specific person's name?
A3: Because Illumination does not offer an individual, open-market text-to-speech API for consumer names, the most effective route is editing a personalized video or audio intro recorded by family members that transitions seamlessly into the official singing clip using free video editing apps like CapCut.
