From App Bans to Feed Control: Why Tiktok Privacy Tools Are Surging in Demand
Over time, user blacklists require administrative maintenance. Misunderstandings resolve, old disputes fade, and algorithmic dynamics shift. TikTok stores all blocked accounts within a dedicated registry located inside the application's configuration hub.
To audit or adjust your suppressed connections:
1. Open your Profile tab and tap the menu icon (three lines) in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Settings and Privacy, then select Privacy.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Blocked accounts.
- Browse your chronological index of restricted profiles. Tap the red Unblock button adjacent to any username to restore visibility immediately.
Unblocking an individual does not restore previous connection states. The platform will not automatically reinstate mutual follows. If an unblocked account was previously on your friends list, both parties must manually hit follow again to reestablish mutual direct messaging channels.
