Fall Season Kickoff: Oma’s Pumpkin Patch Confirms Official 2026 Dates
The 2026 season officially runs for 36 consecutive operational days. Gates open at 10:00 AM Tuesday through Saturday, with extended evening hours until 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday throughout October to accommodate twilight visits and cooler temperatures. The farm remains closed on Mondays to allow staff to rest animals, replenish produce bins, and conduct grounds maintenance.
Farm administrators plan around weather patterns common to the inland river valleys of San Diego County. Early October frequently sees midday temperatures exceeding 85°F (29°C) in Lakeside, even while coastal neighborhoods remain mild. Consequently, the farm operates shaded rest structures and misting areas near the animal corrals. Morning arrival windows between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM generally offer the best experience for families with toddlers, while late afternoon slots between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM capture softer light and cooler mountain breezes rolling off the Cuyamaca range.
