Q1: What does the term military tattoo actually mean?
A1: A military tattoo is an elaborate outdoor or arena exhibition featuring military bands, pipe bands, precision drill teams, and ceremonial demonstrations. Q3: How often does the Virginia International Tattoo take place and can anyone attend?
A3: The event takes place annually in late April at the Norfolk Scope arena in Norfolk, Virginia. It is completely open to the general public, with standard tickets sold directly through the Virginia Arts Festival box office.
