Comment sections underneath the most popular uploads quickly filled with confident yet incorrect film trivia. Some commenters swore the audio originated from Sidney Lumet's late-career output. Others insisted it was an outtake from The Sopranos, attributing the cadence to James Gandolfini. A third camp claimed it was a cut monologue from an indie drama screened at Sundance in the early 2000s.

By recording on an antique dynamic microphone and mixing the vocal track with period-accurate tape hiss, the creator engineered an audio pastiche so convincing that listeners took the bait without questioning the metadata.
