Fact Check: Is Athiya Shetty Truly 5 Feet 10 Inches? the Numbers Examined
By Sarah Jenkins
The definitive test of celebrity stature happens outside the influence of commercial red-carpet styling. In January 2023, Athiya Shetty married Indian international cricketer KL Rahul at Suniel Shetty's Khandala farmhouse. Traditional Hindu marriage rituals mandate that participants remove their footwear during sacred altar rites, providing unambiguous visual data.
KL Rahul is officially documented by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm). Athletic profiles maintained by sports governing bodies are measured under rigorous medical screening, leaving little room for vanity padding. Throughout the wedding ceremony photos released by the couple, Shetty stood beside Rahul on level stone flooring without shoes.
The images clearly show her crown sitting just under his brow line, establishing a height gap of roughly 1.5 to 2 inches. This photographic reality completely rules out claims that Shetty is 5 feet 11 inches, while thoroughly dismantling low estimates claiming she stands merely 5 feet 7 inches. Her barefoot height lands decisively between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 9.5 inches.
