Is Song Weilong Taken? the Ultimate Guide to the C-Drama Heartthrob's Romantic Life
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
Audiences frequently confuse scripted passion with off-screen romance, a pattern that escalated dramatically during Song Weilong's biggest television runs. His portrayal of Yuan Song in the 2020 romantic comedy Find Yourself featured electric, mature dynamics alongside Victoria Song. The pairing turned the drama into a ratings juggernaut, prompting fans to question whether the two actors were secretly dating.
Both actors swiftly set boundaries during press tours. Victoria Song openly described their professional camaraderie, clarifying that the age gap and work dynamic fostered mutual respect rather than private courtship. Their natural comedic banter during interviews confirmed a solid working friendship, putting romantic gossip to rest.
A similar dynamic unfolded with the 2020 domestic hit Go Ahead. Playing the brooding, devoted Ling Xiao opposite Tan Songyun's Li Jianjian, Song Weilong produced some of modern television's most poignant love confessions. Audiences passionately cheered for the pairing. Off-camera, however, the entire cast treated each other like siblings, mirroring the familial bonds showcased throughout the script.
