Did iShowSpeed Move Abroad? Fact-Checking Rumors Behind His Relentless World Tours
By Robert Thorne
Relocation rumors dog Watkins constantly, driven by his relentless on-the-ground streaming schedule. In late 2024, his multi-week broadcasts through Southeast Asia led fans in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines to speculate he had bought property in Bali or Singapore. Months later, his presence around European football stadiums had viewers convinced he was moving to London or Madrid.
The speculation reached a fever pitch in late January 2026. Watkins kicked off an ambitious 20-country tour through Africa, drawing record-breaking concurrent viewership numbers. When local news outlets like TVC News confirmed the Ghanaian government issued him a Ghanaian passport, clips went viral claiming Speed had renounced his American life.
His passport ceremonies were real; the rumors of migration were not. Speed addressed the travel marathon directly in an interview with Complex on January 6, 2026: "I’m for the people that can’t travel." His multi-week tours are extended business and production operations, not residential relocations.
