The annual gathering in San Diego set the tone for BBTS’s late-year rollout. During his sit-down with press at Comic-Con 2026, Bill Murphy highlighted the store's expanding direct-distribution partnerships with Japanese and European boutique manufacturers. Instead of relying on secondary domestic distributors, BBTS has broadened direct pipeline channels for Medicom Toy, Good Smile Company, and Storm Collectibles. This structural shift reduces the retail markup typically added to import figures.

The showroom displays underscored this evolution. Collectors received production-sample looks at Comic-Con 2026 exclusives, including limited variants of Mythic Legions from Four Horsemen Studios and convention-exclusive paint decos for Transformers Generations Selects. The timeline for these convention-adjacent lines remains tight. Exclusives allocated for online purchase following the show typically hit BBTS order queues within 72 hours, often selling out within minutes due to strict factory run limits.
