Arc Raiders Mission Updates: Dormant Baron Husk Changes and Farming Spots
Baron husks represent the wreckage of ARC's armored support quadruped. Unlike minor crawler debris, an intact chassis contains specialized propulsion alloys and computational plating. Interacting with these structures involves risk. Harvesting them is not instant.
A dormant baron husk sits partially buried in terrain. When players approach with cutting torches, the salvage animation triggers a localized audio pulse. This acoustic ping draws nearby drone swarms within an 80-meter radius. In earlier builds, players could strip external panels and vanish before the threat arrived. Following the recent adjustments, dismantling the primary cooling manifold now requires an uninterrupted 12-second channel.
If hostile drones suppress you, the process resets. Scrap efficiency also degrades if the husk sustains explosive damage from crossfire. Firing rockets near a salvage site reduces component yields by roughly 25%, forcing squads to rely on kinetic weapons and tactical smokes when clearing surrounding hostiles.
